Reshaping Work Conference in Amsterdam (23-24 October 2024)

On October 23th and 24th, the research team attended the Reshaping Work Conference 2024 in Amsterdam.

On the first day, the ‘academic afternoon’ took place, where all four PhD candidates presented their ongoing projects to an audience of scholars which sparked lively discussions. Afterwards, Arnaud and Karthika both presented their projects in greater depth to our advisory board, with members attending both on-site and online. This session centered on discussing methodological issues and the next steps in their research journey. The evening concluded with a delightful networking dinner where participants were seated across different tables with representatives from various host organizations. This setup encouraged connections between researchers from diverse disciplines as well as between public and private actors.

The second day marked the official start of the main conference, which was open to the public. Panel discussions explored the impact of AI on society, including its applications and effects in different sectors such as Healthcare and Human Resources. Prof. Andrea M. Herrmann moderated the session on AI & Digital Platforms. Alongside these, the “Think Like” roundtables allowed us to engage with AI-related topics from different stakeholders’ perspectives, making for a dynamic and interactive experience. Throughout the day, our research posters were displayed in the main room, offering visibility to our work and stimulating conversations with attendees.

We are grateful to the Reshaping Work organizers for hosting such a vibrant and inspiring event. We look forward to many more!
